An Industrial visit to Skill Development Institute (SDI), At-Taraboi, Block / PS – Jatni, Dist- Khordha – 752050, Odisha, India was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Capital Engineering College (CEC), Bhubaneswar on 3rd October 2024. Sixty-Four students of Diploma 3rd & 5th Semester with two faculties Prof. Debananda Behera and Prof. Rudra Narayan Behera visited the training institute to study the different modern manufacturing processes. First a brief demonstration is given by the center head Shri Arun Kumar Rath about the center and Micro manufacturing. The students were divided into three different small groups. Each group was guided by one trainer of Skill Development Institute (SDI). Prof. Debananda Behera was the chief coordinator for the study tour. Outcomes of the Visit: The training head of the organization conducted informative session with the students. After those students visited to the conventional machine section, Spot Welding, TIG, MIG, CNC Milling Section and CNC Turning section. The students learnt the process in which complicated jobs are being machined by CNC machines. Conclusion: Study tour to Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar was successfully organized with the support of staffs and students of Capital Engineering College (CEC), Bhubaneswar. This visit really brought positive changes in the thinking and enhanced the practical knowledge of the students.
